  The Bible Gods Word or Mans

  i remember studying this book years ago and how it impacted my belief system.

  i no longer believe the bible is god's word.

  however i do have a couple of lingering questions on this subject.

  The bible was not handed to mankind by God, nor was it dictated to

  human stenographers by God. It has nothing to do with God. In actuality, the

  Bible was VOTED to be the word of God by group of men during the 4th

  century. Emperor Constantine used what motivates many to action-Money.

  He offered the various Church leaders money to agree upon a single canon.

  The church leaders gathered together at the Council of Nicaea and VOTED

  "the word of God into existence".

  One can easily argue that the first Christian Bible was commissioned, paid

  for, inspected and approved by a Pagan emperor for church use.

  Confusion over the parable of the prodigal son

  though parable of prodigal son is superlative in quality as it graphically picturizes the scientific law of cause and consequence, its conclusion defames god.

  when the prodigal son returned repentant, his father showed his delight saying: let us celebrate this by killing a fattened calf.

  (luke 15:23) such a concept (let us rejoice by giving maximum pain to another innocent living being) seems to be interpolation for the following reason:.

  We forget about the older son. I may be a little upset also.

  His younger brother (lost son) had a fun time, women, getting high

  living the fast life. Notsurewheretogo mention "he came back because

  he was hungry". Hell his ass was out, he was damn near homeless.

  So we have the older brother who had been serving his father and Jehovah

  for years, never transgressed your commandment at any time and you never

  gave me a young goat. My young brother comes back and don't have a pot

  to piss in and you treat him like a king. Pop that's BS.

  Don't you get it, he only came back because he had no where to go.

  Well hell, I'm going take my funds and blow it and I will come back when I'm broke.

  Job lost everything for being faithful but received much more, this brother couldn't

  get a decent Rib eye steak.

  seriously, how can it be ok for someone to say of themselves that they are "by far the meekest and most humble person" on the earth?.

  numbers 12:3 'now the man moses was by far the meekest of all the men on the face of the earth'.

  yes, moses was so humble that he told everyone about it!!?!.

  Could he have been very meek and still have written this statement

  about himself. If so I would say he was into himself.
